Parent Training

At Gifted In Greatness, we believe that parent involvement is essential to the success of our students. To support this, we offer comprehensive parent training programs.

 

These sessions are designed to equip parents and caregivers with practical tools and strategies to reinforce learning and behavioral goals at home. By working closely with ABA therapists and other professionals, parents gain insight into their child's progress and learn techniques to foster positive behaviors, improve communication, and manage challenges in everyday situations. Our goal is to empower families to be active participants in their child's development.

ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy): ABA therapy focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics, as well as adaptive learning skills like hygiene, motor dexterity, and job competence. It is primarily used for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Attention-deficit disorder (ADD) but can also benefit those with other developmental disabilities. The therapy is highly individualized and data-driven, with goals designed to help the child or individual become more independent and successful in various environments.

OT

Occupational Therapy (OT): Occupational therapy helps individuals develop or recover skills needed for daily living and work.

 

For children, it often involves improving fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory processing, and self-care skills such as dressing or feeding. OT practitioners use a variety of exercises, tasks, and tools to help kids strengthen their cognitive, physical, and motor skills.

PT

Physical Therapy (PT): Physical therapy aims to improve movement, strength, and motor development. Pediatric physical therapists work with children to enhance gross motor skills, like walking, running, sitting, and balancing.

 

They also focus on flexibility, posture, coordination, and core stability. PT is particularly helpful for children with conditions that affect physical development, such as cerebral palsy or developmental delays.

SPEECH

Speech Therapy: Speech-language therapy addresses speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties. Therapists may help with articulation, fluency (stuttering), understanding and expressing language, and social communication skills.

 

For children with speech delays, language impairments, or ASD, speech therapy can be an essential part of their developmental journey.

HHA

Home Health Aide (HHA) Services: HHAs provide assistance with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, for individuals who may have difficulty performing these tasks on their own.

 

For children with disabilities, a home health aide may also help with medication management, mobility, and general support, ensuring the child is safe and comfortable in their home environment. These therapies often work in collaboration with one another to provide a comprehensive approach to care, ensuring children receive the necessary support for their unique needs.

Art Class

Private School Services

A private school collaborating with a registered behavioral therapist (RBT) for one-on-one support can be a highly beneficial arrangement for students with special needs, especially those who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Here's how such a collaboration can work:

1. Tailored Support for the Student
